PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS:
The LEADER CAM MS 2 consists of a MULTI-APP control box and two search cameras:
- a CAM colour search camera to visually locate victims,
- and a TIC thermal imaging search camera to detect hotspots.

A COLOUR SEARCH CAMERA HEAD:
The CAM colour camera is used to locate victims trapped in inaccessible areas and to talk to them to assess their need for assistance and rescue (using the integrated communication system).
The camera is waterproof, swivels, is equipped with LEDs (to see victims precisely) and is attached to an ultra-light carbon fibre telescopic pole to reach inaccessible areas, whether at height or depth.
The CAM colour camera is used to locate victims trapped in inaccessible areas and to talk to them to assess their need for assistance and rescue (using the integrated communication system).
The camera is waterproof, swivels, is equipped with LEDs (to see victims precisely) and is attached to an ultra-light carbon fibre telescopic pole to reach inaccessible areas, whether at height or depth.
A THERMAL IMAGING SEARCH CAMERA HEAD:
The TIC thermal imaging camera is fitted instead of the colour camera.
It provides a thermal view to make body heat visible and so speed up victim location.
It is used in various USAR use cases: reconnaissance, searches in the dark, in dusty environments or in smoke-filled areas, etc. Unlike IR LED technology that illuminates a target area with infrared light (such as a torch), LEADER uses an infrared sensor to detect the heat from objects between 0°C and 120°C. A victim will therefore be visible even if covered with dust, a blanket or behind foliage.
The TIC thermal imaging camera is fitted instead of the colour camera.
It provides a thermal view to make body heat visible and so speed up victim location.

A NAVIGATION INTERFACE DESIGNED FOR VISUAL SEARCH:
The navigation interface of this device has been designed to prioritise the image. The image is displayed on the whole screen, and the pictograms used on the navigation interface are very discreet, enabling rescuers to understand the situation as quickly as possible!
The LEADER CAM MS 2 kit makes it very simple to switch from a thermal image to a colour image and back again just by connecting and disconnecting the camera heads.

AN ULTRA-LIGHT CARBON FIBRE TELESCOPIC POLE:
The two search camera heads can be attached alternately on an ultra-light carbon fibre telescopic pole for great manoeuvrability in the field. Carbon fibre was an obvious choice for our telescopic pole. It's ultra-light and so can be manoeuvred easily by just one rescuer! However, it is possible to separate the control box from the pole to enable two rescuers to handle the tool (one stays focused on the screen, the other handles the pole).

2-IN-1 FEATURES: visual location + thermal location of the victim!
This USAR kit incorporates: - a colour search camera (CAM device) for visual life searches, - a thermal imaging search camera (= TIC device) enabling hotspot detection/searching and also enabling searches in dark and/or dusty environments. The LEADER CAM MS 2 is USAR equipment using two search cameras to visually locate victims trapped in hard-to-access collapsed buildings and to talk with them to assess their condition. Using its two detachable camera heads, the LEADER CAM MS 2 kit makes it possible to switch from a thermal image to locate the victim's body quickly to a colour image to refine the search by better understanding the victim's condition and environment. Conversely, if the rescuer is using the colour camera (CAM), the thermal imaging camera (TIC) will make it possible to check/confirm whether it’s a living human being using the thermal image. The control box and graphic interface have been specifically designed for colour and thermal visual searches for buried victims!
An upgradeable life locator camera!
The MULTI-APP box makes this kit upgradeable! The MULTI-APP control box is Multi-Application and can also be connected to: - the optional RD90 search camera, waterproof to 90 m (RD90 device) for explorations at great depths. The optional RD90 colour camera, waterproof to 90 m and fitted with a 90 m cable wound on a reel enables exploration at great depth. The fixed head is fitted with LED lights and does not swivel. A 90 m extension lead allows it to be lowered down to 180 m. - seismic sensors (SEARCH devices) to detect the vibrations caused by people under wreckage, - an ultra-wide band (UWB) ground penetrating radar sensor (SCAN device) that detects movements through 50 cm of concrete.
